Behind the scenes
The production of Prisoner #1616 took place entirely in the great state of New York.
The New York City Department of Correction granted the filmmakers access to film at a functioning correctional facility.
Additional photography took place at a soundstage in Long Island City, NY and exteriors were filmed in Larchmont, NY.
